This is the alpha and omega of the Circle series.  You can start with this book or you can end with this book. This book chronicles the life of Thomas Hunter and his family. You are introduced to the Horde, Eramites, Circle followers and Ba’al. It goes along with good and evil, sacrifices and choices. This is generally not a book that I would have chosen to read as I am not into the fantasy books, but it was interesting. Mr. Dekker takes you between two worlds, the here and now, the world that we are familiar with, and then a world of fantasy. Where people have a skin disease and evil is so open and vivid, and that the good people who choose to follow God have to stay hidden to stay safe. It takes you on a journey of what most people deal with daily, a rebellious child, different religions among family, choices between what is right and wrong. Thomas must make choices that affect not only him and his family, but also all of those who follow him. It is almost like Moses, how God tells Moses to take his people to the promised land. They wander and doubt, as do the albinos. But in the end Good always conquers Evil. I would recommend this if you like science fiction or fantasy type books.
